Five Minute Friday: YES

Yes, is definitely a powerful word.  The trick is being careful what we say YES to.

That one little word could bring so many blessings.

Yet, that one little word could bring so much disaster.

These past few days, I've come across a few FaceBook posts, a few news stories, had a few conversations, and heard a really good sermon that prove Americans have said YES to the wrong things.

As a preacher's wife, I am disturbed at some of the things other preacher's wives say YES to.

As a mama, I am disturbed at some of the things other mamas are saying YES to.

As an American, I am disturbed by some of the things other Americans are saying YES to.

As a Christian, I am disturbed by some of the things other Christians are saying YES to.

I'm scared, People.

Honestly.

I read a FaceBook post the other day, and my first thought was, "This country is going to Hell."

And YES,  I believe Hell is a real place and I believe people go there.  People who say YES to the wrong things.

I'm scared for what our children are being told it's ok to say YES to.

Yes, can be a good thing, but I think we've got to start saying NO to some things to get our country, our families, ourselves back on the right track.

  1. I completely agree! Saying "no" has become so taboo so we don't "offend" someone. I'm afraid for our world, for Americans, and for my children. This is a dip in history I'm not sure we will recover from. Thanks for sharing, a pal from FMF.

  2. I wholeheartedly agree Natasha! I see Christians saying and doing things and wonder WHAT in the world they are thinking! Not that we won't sin; but it's like they don't even realize what's right or wrong, or they just don't care. http://homeskoolmom.com #70 today and http://christianhome.life , #74...you were so sweet and commented on both blogs today
