My Valentine

My Valentine

Does your Valentine give you chocolates and roses?
My Valentine gives me so much more than that.

My Valentine….

Accepts me for who I am.
He gives me unconditional love.
He gives me faith and strength when I need it.
He gives me hope, wisdom, and courage.
He pours His blessings upon me.

With my Valentine, I can share what is deep within my heart and soul.  After all, there is no keeping it from Him because He already knows my innermost thoughts.

My Valentine fills my heart with gladness.
He helps me to see the beauty in my world around me and to cherish every moment as if it were my last.
He has taught me to love.
He has taught me to be patient.
He has taught me to believe.

My Valentine…
I want to give Him all my love and praise because
There is no other like Him.

The most important thing my Valentine has done for me is to give His life for me.

He loves me so much that He paid the ultimate price that I may have everlasting life, and that I may spend all eternity with Him.

That gift is greater than chocolates and roses,
greater than diamonds and pearls.

What did I do to deserve such a Valentine?
Nothing.
The truth is I don’t deserve Him.
But He loves me so much that He is giving me all He has to offer.

What did I do to accept my Valentine?
I admitted that I’m a sinner.
I believed that Jesus is God’s son who came to Earth and died on the cross for me.
I confessed my faith in my Lord, Jesus Christ.
Now, He is mine forever!

I don’t want to keep my Valentine all to myself.
I want to share Him with you.

Allow Jesus to come into your heart so He will be your Valentine every day of your life.

Valentine's Day Care Package

January 25, 2013

For Valentine's Day, I decided to put together a care package for Jeff. The big boys and I decided to cut out hearts and decorate the box. Carter helped me decorate. I put a pink and mauve sheet of paper to cover the bottom of the box.
I wrote Bible verses on slips of colored paper. Each verse is about love or marriage in some way.
I attached each verse onto an treat to place in the box (Sixlets, UK mints, cappuccino  chap stick, mixed nuts, sweethearts, and even a Rocky movie pack). We topped the box off with Valentine's cards, and then I placed a sheet of red scrapbook paper on top before taping it up.

How I Love Thee

Happy Valentine's Day!

What a wonderful day to honor those we love!! If you are like me, you want those who are special to you to know not just today, but everyday how much you love them. We go out of our way to show them.

Shouldn't we then go out of our way to show God how much we love Him? Afterall, we know from John 3:16 how much He loves us: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Each day, let your Heavenly Father know that you love Him. Pour your heart out to Him in prayer. Thank Him for the many blessings He has given to you. Thank Him for the trials that have made you stronger. Thank Him for Jesus Christ.

Cards, roses, and chocolates don't matter. Cards get lost or thrown away, roses wilt and die, and chocolates melt or get eaten. But the love of God lasts forever!!!! What better gift to receive?!?!?!

Although I am at home with a sick little one today, not able to sing and worship with my church, I will praise God in all I do, thanking Him for his LOVE, GRACE, and MERCY. This will be my gift to Him on this Valentine's Day and everday.
